These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of fastimagetools.com (the "Service").
The Service is operated by a private individual based in California, United States ("we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
FastImageTools provides browser-based image processing tools.
Processing is performed locally in your browser whenever possible. Some features may require server-side processing when explicitly requested by you or when technically necessary.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service.
3. User Content
3.1 Ownership
You retain all rights to the files, images, and other content you upload or process through the Service ("User Content").
We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
3.2 Processing
User Content is processed solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
By default, files are processed locally in your browser.
If server-side processing is required:
- Files are uploaded to secure object storage.
- Input files are automatically deleted within 24Â hours.
- Output files are automatically deleted within 72Â hours.
We do not retain file contents beyond these retention periods.
Limited technical metadata (e.g., file size, processing status, error logs) may be retained longer for security, fraud prevention, debugging, and system integrity purposes.
3.3 Responsibility
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to use the User Content.
- Your use of the Service does not violate any law or third-party rights.
- The User Content does not contain unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.
4. Accounts
Certain features may require account registration.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Notify us of unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
Upon account termination, access to account-related data and paid features may be revoked.
5. Payments, Subscriptions, and Credits
Certain features may require payment.
Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card details.
Subscriptions
- Subscription billing terms are disclosed at checkout.
- You may cancel subscriptions through your account or payment provider.
- Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund past payments unless required by law.
Credits
- Credits may be used for paid compute features.
- Credits are non-transferable.
- Unless required by law, credits are non-refundable.
Refunds
Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, subject to applicable law.
Payment processing is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the relevant payment provider.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload illegal, infringing, or harmful content.
- Violate intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service (excluding open-source components, to the extent permitted by their licenses).
- Bypass usage limits or technical restrictions.
- Interfere with servers, infrastructure, or security mechanisms.
- Use automated systems to overload or scrape the Service without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend access for violations.
7. Open Source Software
The Service incorporates open-source components governed by their respective licenses.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable open-source licenses.
To the extent permitted by those licenses (including the GNU LGPL), reverse engineering or modification of open-source components is allowed.

8. Advertising and Analytics
The Service may use third-party analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) and advertising partners (such as Google AdSense).
These providers may use cookies or similar technologies.
Your interaction with such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted.
- The Service will be error-free.
- Files can be recovered after processing.
- Specific results will be achieved.
We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
For paid features, material changes may be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
- We are not liable for loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities.
- We are not liable for loss of User Content after processing is completed.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed:
- The total amount paid by you to us during the 12Â months preceding the claim; or
- If you have paid nothing, USDÂ $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In such cases, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of the Service from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, network failures, governmental actions, or service outages.
14. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States.
If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.
15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, United States, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
If applicable law requires arbitration or other specific dispute procedures, such requirements shall apply to the maximum extent permitted.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we will update the "Last updated" date.
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
