Why extract colors from a photo?
A photo, logo, screenshot, artwork, product image, or mood board can become a reusable color system for a website, brand, presentation, room, event, or illustration. Automatic colors come from perceptual source clusters; manually picked and entered colors remain clearly labeled.
Choose the right palette size and style
Start with eight colors, then use 2–24 for automatic extraction. Balanced mixes dominant and accent colors; Vibrant, Muted, Light, Dark, and Dominant change how real source clusters are scored. Tiny accents may be omitted, so analyze a smaller region or pick and lock the color before regenerating.
Dominant colors, accent colors and percentages
Percentages describe the included pixels under the current region and transparency policy and are rounded to total 100%. A manual value has no prominence claim unless it remains attached to a source cluster. Lock useful colors to preserve them while replacing the rest.
Color formats and palette exports
Copy HEX, RGB, HSL, or OKLCH and export CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, DTCG tokens, JSON, CSV, TXT, GPL, ASE, SVG, PNG, collage, PDF, or batch ZIP files. Public color values use sRGB. Generic CMYK values are approximations, not exact print or Pantone matches.
Private, local image processing
File decoding, extraction, editing, sharing, and export run in your browser without uploading the source to FastImageTools. Direct URL mode contacts the address you enter from your browser and therefore depends on that origin allowing CORS access.
Color palette from photo, logo, screenshot or artwork
Use the transparency controls for logos and safe SVG files, or draw an analysis region when a background dominates. Animated GIF files use the first frame and multipage TIFF files use the first page. Embedded profiles are converted when supported; otherwise the tool reports its sRGB assumption.
